Genie and the three Questions

By a stroke of luck I manage to find a magic genie, but instead of offering me three wishes, he offers answers to three questions.

After contemplating my first question, I ask "who or what created the world?" "I did" he responds. This obviously takes me back, and a hurricane of questions runs through my mind. Why? When? What's our purpose? What is morality?

After overcoming my shock, I ask the greatest question of humanity. "What is the meaning of life?" The genie chuckles, "Imagine this: you're reading a story. The reason you love the story so much is the mystery of the plot. Once you finish the story, you wish with all your heart that there was more mystery. You may even wish to forget the ending to the story.

The purpose of life is mystery.

Humanity tries to solve the mysteries of the world while making mysteries of their own." It's a mind numbing experience.

Everything makes sense- or rather it doesn't, but that's the beauty of it. While the world may seem a little hallow now that my greatest question has been answered, it gives it a new meaning. "And you're third question is..." the genie smiled knowingly.

"I think I'll figure it out on my own"
