It seems like now that Apple has made as many improvements as it can the iPhone itself, the company has decided to make the phones "worse in the attempt to make them different." Or at least, that's how some consumers feel.
First, Apple removed the headphones jack and now it may be introducing Theater Mode. According to 2014 patents filed by Apple, users would press a popcorn-shaped icon to put their phones in "Theater Mode," which would dim the screen and disable sounds.
Theater owners are already speaking out against the mode, with Alamo Drafthouse owner tweeting that he hopes these are just rumors or else he'll have to fly to Cupertino to speak to Apple himself.
