Make friends in the right Places

Success doesn't fall into your lap just because you want it the most and work the hardest. Half the battle at least is knowing the right people. 

If you don't know the right people, you could even be a better candidate than everyone else for a particular job, position, program, whatever - and you still won't succeed. 

It's important 99% of the time to be successful.
