The future of Microsoft

For over a decade I have been following MS complete their One Windows vision. From conception to completion.

Now that its here, I was thinking, whats next?

The way I see it, Microsoft feels like they have lost the war on mobile, so they have all but given up on trying to compete in that area. Instead, Microsoft is trying to focus on the next big thing that will let them leapfrog Apple.

Does Microsoft really believe in the future of AI, or are they just persuing AI for lack of a better alternative?
