Is Blogger in for a long run ?

Is Google actually working on its Blogger platform ? I keep asking myself this question more often. There has been no features development for over an year and they themselves have nothing new to write about it in their blog. As you can see in the pic, the last update was in Feb 2014. It makes me question their reliability or will it turn into another fail product ?

I know I shouldn't judge it by the frequency of the posts made on its Official blog but even their android app for blogger is not being updated, just few bug fixes that's all. I'd really like to see them taking it seriously because I've invested so much of my time, crafting, designing my blog just the way I like over years and I don't want to let it go. Plus moving to another platform will be much more difficult since I'm addicted to blogger now. Tumblr is cool but not much freedom; limited free themes & Wordpress is not editable at all although they have slightly more themes than tumblr.
