Pahalgam Terror Attack Linked to Pak Army Chief's Remarks: Michael Rubin

Following a Pakistan-sponsored terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir, India is preparing to retaliate, causing concern in Islamabad. Pakistan responded to India's suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty with threats of nuclear retaliation by Minister Hanf Abbasi, who warned of "full-scale war" if India halts water supply.

Defense Minister Kawaja Sif denied Pakistan's support for Lashkar-e-Taiba, the group allegedly behind the attack, despite past admissions of supporting such organizations. Sif offered cooperation with international investigators and unilaterally invited China and Russia to investigate. Earlier, Pakistani politicians Balawal Bhuto Zardari threatened to "drench the river Indus with Indian blood."

These threats have drawn strong reactions from India, with warnings that Pakistan cannot kill Indians with impunity and that any bloodshed would likely be greater on their side. Amidst rising tensions, the report suggests Pakistan should focus on its internal issues rather than instigating regional chaos through support for terrorism.
