Tech Companies Offering Legal help to Employees

People keep saying the big tech companies are getting cheap labor from h1b visas. It's just not true. There's too much mobility in the tech industry and talented people are too valuable. People on an h1b visa at Microsoft can get the same visa support at Google or Amazon or dozens of other companies. They're not "stuck".

I wonder what's really going on behind the scenes that this is distracting from. The "immigration decoy".
To our American sisters and brothers who are raising their fists in defiance of this order - whether it is through words or through the streets - thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart. ; I'm Just gonna drop a little philosophy because I feel it needs to be said on days like this :

Neither the Constitution nor the government is the source of your rights. You have rights because you are human. They are intrinsic, they are eternal. A government can neither grant nor remove your rights. All a government can do is recognize, or fail to recognize and violate, your rights as a human being. This also means people in other countries have the same rights you do, regardless of whether any government recognizes those rights or not.

This is part of why it's important to stand up for the rights of others. I am very proud of y'all today for doing the right thing. Keep fighting.
